A good corporate film tells the customer’s story, not the company’s features. What matters in pre-production, shooting and editing.
A corporate film is the longest-lived content you will make; it works on the website, at trade shows, in sales decks and on social. Its lifespan depends more on story and message than on camera quality.
Pre-production
- A one-sentence goal: “What should the viewer feel?”
- Target channels: 90 seconds for web, 30 and 15-second cuts for social.
- Script and shot list; the shoot day should hold no surprises.
The shoot
Real employees, real locations and customer voices always beat stock footage. Treat sound as seriously as picture; bad audio loses viewers before bad video does.
Edit and release
Strongest image in the first 5 seconds, the message by second 20, a clear call to action at the end. Produce captioned and vertical versions from the same project; one shoot yields six pieces of content.
